Statement of the WKSF for NOC Guatemala suspension
The NOC of Guatemala received suspension order by the IOC after the Constitutional Court of Guatemala decided in August 2022 to provisionally suspend the provisions of the NOC. The situation occured after the NOC elections and the court decided by “illegality” on the process, something that the IOC condemn. The suspension of the IOC was to protect the Guatemala athletes and without any other developments the invitation by the IOC to the NOC of Guatemala didn´t occure in july.
The WKSF has and share the position to any Guatemala organization and/or athlete to be part on any WKSF events.
